Buying Books

Gerald Grube of Redlands, California had written to me asking about acquiring several Carder Steuben books and their availability. Gerald now reports.

I received my copies of the second edition of Marshall Ketchum’s book and Thomas Dimitroff’s book on January 25, sent directly from Schiffer Publishers, I believe. I ordered both books from Amazon because of the free shipping and no tax. Marshall Ketchum’s book was full list price of $29.95. Our member benefit of 15% off at the CMOG glass market was more than negated by the $9.95 shipping charge. Tom Dimitroff’s book was $81.25 rather than the list price of $125.00.

I am enjoying both of these books.

Incidentally my wife found on eBay an orange crate label for Imperial Pride citrus packed by a firm here in Redlands, CA, showing as part of the label a clear glass footed bowl, similar in size and shape to my 2360 bowl, mostly filled with ice chips with a half of a grapefruit placed on top of and partially into the ice chips. This bowl does not have a center insert.
