The speakers are set, the shops are stocked, the meals are planned and it looks like even the weather is going to cooperate. The Symposium starts this coming week so just before everyone starts to travel to Corning, here are a few last reminders. Remember to bring your CMoG membership card. You’ll need cash or your checkbook to pay for auction purchases (no credit cards). There’s still time to bring an item or photograph for the Fakes, Forgeries and Look-alikes session – you don’t even need to tell anyone in advance what you are going to bring. Don’t forget to bring non-Steuben glass (not Carder, not Modern) to sell at the glass show. Dress for the Symposium is casual and for the Saturday night banquet is semi-formal. Attendance is going to be great – one-third of the membership will attend.
See you 8:00 p.m. Thursday night for Glass Gazing at the Carder Display Windows at the corner of Walnut and Market Street (29-45 West Market Street). If you can’t make that, then 8:30 a.m. in the Auditorium of CMoG.
