I just returned from travels to Tuscany in Italy. Hopefully, you missed the Gazette the past ten days. I have a backlog of a some items to report that will come out in the next several days. In the meantime let me pass on this Club item from Scott Hansen.

Good Afternoon Everyone –

I thought all of you might be interested in some news I received from Dick Pope. The Bob Rockwell Memorial Fund Dinner is tomorrow night at the Radisson in Corning. This year would have been Bob’s 100 birthday. Dick tells me that they expect about 85 people to attend. The $65 dinner cost includes a $25 donation to the Fund so assuming that everyone pays they will generate a little over $2,000 for the Fund plus whatever they net from their auction and direct donations like the $300 the Club sent. In its 3 year existence the Fund has distributed over $30,000 to various individuals in the Corning area ($300 is the maximum amount any individual can receive in a year). Dick also tells me that the Corning Leader gave the Fund and its dinner a nice write up earlier this week.
