Issue 602
I need to ask for your help once again. I am still looking for items for my book on Mr. Carder and his Steuben Glass. We all have pieces in our collections which haven’t been seen in any books, and yet all collectors would be tickled to see them.
Since Mr. Carder made more than 7,000 designs, there are some 5,000 shapes yet to be seen. I am looking for those pieces not yet shown in books. The color of the piece does not matter as much as the shape.
There are also many other companies, such as Roycroft, DeVilbiss, Crest Lamps, Almco Lamps, Handel Lamps, Frankart’s Mignor Perfumes, Alvin Silver, Hawkes, plus others that would add zest to this book.
There are still spots in all areas (i.e., color crystal, Cluthra, cut, engraved, Decorated Aruenes, Mat Su No Ke, Silverina, etc.)
Any questions? Write or call. I’d be delighted to visit with you. Bob Mueller, (763)391-9340 or sweetgrannie@usfamily.net
