Frederick Carder and other Steuben designers appear to have had a great love for birds.  And who can blame them?  With their rich colors, beautiful feathers and almost unimaginable variety, birds are the perfect artistic inspiration.  Whether it be etched patterns, engraved designs, decorative details, or entire cast pieces, you are likely to find your favorite bird in one of the many Steuben designs featuring them.  Here are just a few of the many Steuben glass examples representing a century of birds.
