Hello Carder Steuben Club members.

Here we are less than three months from the 2014 Symposium. I am sending along this correspondence regarding the Saturday night auction. This year both I and fellow board member Mike Moline will be co-chairing the auction. Last year’s auction was a success and we are hoping that this year’s will continue the trend. Please consider a donation this year to the auction, as you are probably aware that all proceeds from a donated auction item goes directly to the club helping to sustain the club’s fiscal solvency.

If you choose not to donate an item there are other means for you to place an item into the auction. As stated before, you can place an item(s) into the auction as a donation, and the club will receive 100% of the sale price. You can also place an item(s) into the auction and place a reserve selling price on those items(s.) If the piece(s) meet your reserve price and sell, you are asked to pay a 10% sellers fee of the final selling price. This scenario also holds true for a consigned item without a reserve selling price. You are asked to pay a 10% sellers fee on the final sale price.

As a buyer at the auction, you are asked to pay a 10% buyers premium on the final sale price on each item you purchase. Remember, these 10% proceeds go to the club and help greatly with the club’s sustainability. Mike and I are looking forward to seeing all the attendees this year.
