Antique Green?

Beth,
I am not done working with the Greens yet but your bowl could be Antique Green. Keep in mind so far we are working only with photos and not side by side comparisons. You have opened a can of worms but it will all lead to something better for all of us. I was just going to write about this subject in the next 30 days anyway.

I have been telling everyone Antique Green was wrong at the web site for a few years now. What we have pictured at the web site for Antique Green contains uranium and glows brightly under the black light. I have the formula for Antique Green and it does not contain any uranium. It is impossible for what we have pictured at the web site to be Antique Green. We are doing our club members a huge disservice by allowing this mis-identification to continue. Our vetting committee could settle this in 10 minutes with nothing more than a piece of the glass, a black light and the glass formula for Antique Green. I would like to formally request they investigate this.

I will present a photo of a piece that could be the same color as your bowl and the line drawing showing Antique Green and Amber.

Some people could make the mistake of calling your bowl Sea Green. I am sure you have owned enough pieces of Sea Green. Therefore I have concluded you have already excluded it from the possibilities and that was why you asked the question. I have a feeling we will also be taking a little stroll down Blue-grey Lane. I have some questions of my own.
