Yesterday a question was asked about the composite of Steuben’s black color. Marshall Ketchum answers.

Some of the glass batches that are listed in one of Carder’s notebooks start off with defining the number of pounds of cullet of a particular color that would be used. I suspect that using cullet was not that unusual. It is not really clear what use Carder made of the material in these notebooks.

In turn, Tony Topps of Crystal Lake, Illinois asks.

Here is a better question , I have a set of green jade under plates and sherbets , one glows under a black light the others don’t , all are signed , riddle me that batman !!!
