from David Chadwick-Brown, The Alexandrite is one of the few Steuben cuttings I was able to show to the cut glass collectors gathered at my condo on 13 March. The Alexandrite bowl, #6294, is the 12 inch version. The ten inch variation is on the website, and in Dimitroff, page 159. The line drawing shows ridges on the foot, though mine is lacking same. The top is such a spectacular example of engraving, I just wish a little more had been made of the rather pedestrian foot (if you’ll pardon the pun). Color is Flemish Blue over Rosa
