Some Background
Yesterday John Styler noted he didn’t have the Carder Steuben books written by Eric Ericson in his library and wanted to add them. These texts have, as best I know, been criticized for their accuracy. However, some of that criticism has been modified after considering some recordings of interviews with Carder, late in Mr. Carder’s life. At any rate Michael Krumme of LA puts all of this in good perspective. Michael advises John Styler:
“Hi John,
I read in the GG today that you need the Ericson books on Steuben. I was sure that I had spare copies of one or both volumes, but when I searched the glass room for them, they did not turn up. I must have sold them. I’ll keep my eyes open for copies for you. Don’t overpay for them; they are NOT that hard to find and they are not that much in demand. They are odd little books, and not all of the information in them is accurate, but I think they’re must-haves for the serious collector.
Best regards, Michael”
