A word from the Club’s Symposium Chairman Scott Hansen, who reports attendance looks strong this year.
SYMPOSIUM
The registration fee for the Symposium goes up this Friday, September 10 so if you have been waiting to make a decision and want to save yourself a little money, now is the time to send in your form and check. You can register after September 10 but it will cost you a little more. Attendance will be good this year and with a little bit of luck it might top last year.
Marshall Ketchum reports that about 35 items have been contributed so far to the glass auction held after the banquet on Saturday night. We published photographs of some of these items last week. There are other items which will be in the auction for which we don’t have photographs like a 10″ colorless spiral ribbed 6030 vase, a pair of 6547 vases (or candlesticks as some believe), a couple of teapots (1957 and 3298) and even a Max Erlacher engraved paperweight. There is still time to contribute items to the auction. Just get in touch with Marshall at mdketchum@yahoo.com. We hope to have between 50 and 70 items in the auction.
