First off, Dick Bright of Corning passes along some personal observations on the handmade character of the Ram’s Head Steuben piece that has been a part of the past two Gazettes.

Dick Bright here. It is a cover for the Ram’s Head candy dish. Beware that each dish varies its top opening. I bought one to replace a broken one, I had three of these dishes, and the top I purchased did not fit any of them.

Rod Aftuck of Atlanta calls attention to an article in USA Today about the demise of Steuben and the void it creates.
