Jo Ann Godawa of Bellevue, Nebraska adds to the paperweight perfume discussion
Ah, a rose by any other name…………..! Technically, it IS a paperweight item! Frederick Carder just prefered to give his paperweight items a name.

Leigh Demrow of Janesville, Wisconsin adds to the discussion
Alan, First we need a definition of “Paperweight”. Any shape piece of glass that has the main body or decoration encased in a layer of clear glass. The reason Steuben was not called Paperweight, was because the paperweight pieces were called by other names- Intarsia, most Cluthra and Cintra come to mind, plus many controlled bubble, Millefiori and Mica pieces and I am sure I’m leaving out many other names.
