Bob Weinberg of Huntington, New York quite appropriately reminds us of our too flippantly making judgments. For that we thank you, Bob
Alan: I usually don’t comment on price discussions in the CSC GG but this time I will: I wish that folks would refrain from criticizing others who try asking what they want for their items, which of course enhances the value of all our collections – all of which may someday be for sale! Furthermore, the value of a complete or nearly complete original set of anything rare is in my opinion double the price of the individual items and somewhat more than an assembled set. I suspect that this seller knows the value of the individual pieces. I also think that in the LA or NYC market markets can command significantly higher prices than say – the Midwest – ( I was (am?) a mid-westerner so feel free to criticize me here). Finally if no one else has this set to sell, that means it is priceless to someone who loves it! I hope they get full price; then everyone can be happy. regards bob
