Issue 1734
I see in the Gazette you were looking for questions. I have been a loving collector for 40 years and a Carder Club member for several year. My quandary is concerning the ring handled vase #2909. I understand that in 2011 we discover a new color called Canterbury. I have done quite a bit of research but there is very limited information. I would appreciate any help my fellow members might willing to share. Thank you!

Hi, Alan
Other than the connotation attached to the number; I would surmise that it would be “most unusual” to find the “set” still together, and especially the fragile lattice Basket intact. Would one expect to find either piece marked with the Steuben acid-stamp? And, is there an assumption that the intended usage was to hold a votive candle? Nowadays the liner, by itself, could be described any number of ways by an unknowledgeable seller.
