A PICTURE IS WORTH….
Marshall Ketchum sends along some observations on pictures that have been scanned and catalogued and are on display on the CMoG.
One of the interesting features of the photos that Scott Hansen and I worked on last summer are the pictures of the lamp shades with shape numbers 5417 to 5480. As far as I know there are no line drawings for these shapes and they are not shown in Gardner. Collectors will never have seen these before unless they have had access to these photos or if they happened to have one or more of the pieces of glass. It will be interesting to see what else is stored away in the Rakow archives.
