First though, a comment on the Rockwell plaque delivered to members of the Carder Steuben Club from Beth Jaques of New York City.
Thank you, Alan, and everyone involved, for the Rockwell medallion. I spoke to Mr. Rockwell by phone several times, and I only regret I was not able to meet him personally. Cobalt blue was an inspired choice of color!

Then from Lisa Ackerman of Orange, California
Good Morning, Alan,
Well, we do our best to spread the joy of Carder-Steuben glass as best we can, right?
Our weekly local paper that is inserted in The Register newspaper has a feature called Where In The World. Readers take a copy of the Orange City News with them on vacation and have their picture taken in exotic locales.
This week’s collection of photos include shots along the Singapore River, Sri Lanka, Ehpesus, Turkey, A&M University in Texas, St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland and….
Lisa Ackerman in front of the Frederick Carder Gallery. The fun thing is the gal in the picture of the issue I’m holding is an attorney whose name is Michelle Carder! I thought it was neat that of the six photos shown, ours was the largest!

Happy Thursday! 🙂 Lisa
