THE CARDER SYMPOSIUM GLASS SHOW

For the first time, we are assembling a small glass show and sale as part of the 2010 Carder Steuben Symposium. The show will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2010 in the Radisson Hotel’s Carder Room. Attendees will be able to enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, purchase a glass of wine, beer or soda from the cash bar, and shop for new additions to their collections.

This will be a short, small show. Everything from setup through pack-out will take place between noon and midnight that Thursday. The hours for the show itself will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. At a minimum, 75% of the glass exhibited in each booth must be Carder Steuben.

Club members will be given priority in selecting show participants. During the period from now until June 1, 2010 we will not offer show contracts to or accept show contracts from anyone who is not a club member. After June 1, if we have not received enough reservations to fill the show we will solicit reservations from people who receive the Gazelle Gazette (our blog).

At this time we are asking club members who would like to participate in the show to reserve their tables. We expect to have approximately 40 tables in total but each participating member may have from two to four tables. We hope to have 10 to 15 member/dealers participating. A contract form is attached and must be completed and submitted to Lon Knickerbocker, Club Treasurer with a $25 deposit to reserve your tables.

The cost will be $25 per table. We believe that the hotel will provide table covers but dealers should have their own covers available. A limited amount of electricity will be available at each booth but dealers will have to provide their own extension cords. No cases will be available but you may bring a case in lieu of a table.

CARDER STEUBEN CLUB INC. ( the “Club”) GLASS SHOW

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2010

LOCATION: The Carder Room of the Radisson Hotel (the “Facility”)

SHOW HOURS: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

SETUP: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. PACK-OUT: 9 p.m. to midnight

SHOW RULES:

Each booth will have from two to four 6’ by 30” tables. Booth rent will be $25 per table. Tables must be covered although the Club may elect to have the Facility provide covers.

At least 75% of the glass being displayed by each Exhibitor must be Carder Steuben. Other Carder Steuben material such as books and ephemera may also be displayed. The Exhibitor must guarantee that all merchandise is as represented and must be willing to fully refund the purchase price if it is not. Merchandise exhibited at the Show may not also be offered in the Club’s September 25, 2010 auction

The Club reserves the right to accept or reject any and all requests for tables and booths. The Club may, at its sole discretion, give precedence to Club members in accepting contracts and /or limit or reduce the number of tables assigned to any Exhibitor. The Club also reserves the right to cancel the Show upon notice to the Exhibitor and return of any deposit.

The Exhibitor agrees to release both the Club and the Facility from any and all liability for injury to the Exhibitor or damage to or loss of the Exhibitor’s merchandise.
