Dear Alan, Wichita Art Museum now has hundreds of Carder Steuben pieces on permanent display, Bob
Let’s explore this a little more. The one museum in the United States that has been developing and growing an incredible collection of Carder Glass is the Wichita Art Museum, under the direction of curator, Stephen Gleisner. And, I might add a budget to support acquisitions. This is truly exciting. The museum has a fabulous collection and most recently acquired and enhanced its collection materially by acquiring Bob Burnstein’s collection. Take a mouth watering visit at their website at the following link. As you go through 18 website pages you’ll see many blanks. While I don’t know it, I suppose they represent the recently acquired Burnstein collection that hasn’t been pictured yet.
