Issue 3711
Save the date for our next CSGA member gathering! We’ll be meeting virtually via Zoom on June 23, 2024 from 4:00-6:00pm EDT. Our topic for this meeting will be “Is It or Isn’t It?” — a discussion of glass pieces that may or may not be made by Steuben. This is a chance to share your knowledge and to learn from others about the forms, glass combinations, hallmarks, and other details that can help you better identify a piece of Steuben glass. And, as always, this is a chance to catch up with other CSGA members and enjoy talking about glass together. We hope to see you there!
The Annual CSGA Symposium is still a few months away, but it’s never too early to start thinking about items you might want to donate to our annual fundraising event — the Symposium Banquet Auction! It’s been our tradition to hold an auction at the Saturday evening banquet dinner, a fun way for attendees to possibly take home some beautiful things and to help raise money for the CSGA. All proceeds will benefit the Carder Steuben Glass Association and support our mission.
You may wish to donate or consign Carder Steuben glass, post-Carder Steuben glass, glass of the same era, or glass with relevance to Corning. Other items like books, New York state wine, event tickets, or Frederick Carder items also make great auction entries. In prior years we’ve been thankful to have some gorgeous glass pieces to bid on (see below)! If you are interested in supporting our organization in this way, please send item descriptions to President@steubenglass.org.
The Carder Steuben Glass Association is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. You will receive a tax receipt for your donation. Thank you!
