Our friend Tom Dimitroff recently shared to our organization some of the materials he has collected over the years. The materials capture moments in Steuben history, ranging from glassmaking details to vignettes of everyday life.  Closer to the latter end of the spectrum are some letters from Frederick Carder regarding an overcoat that went missing. Tom gives credit to the Rakow Library at CMoG for the letter shown below.  This is the last of a series of letters from Mr. Carder complaining about his coat that disappeared during a meeting at the University Club.  Mr. Carder was not only upset about the missing coat, but appears to be further bothered that others did not seem as concerned about his loss.
