Mark your calendars! The annual Carder Steuben Glass Association Symposium will take place from September 7-9, 2023 at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York. We have another great lineup of speakers and activities planned, and more information on the program and registration details will be available soon. We wanted to send out hotel information a bit earlier than usual, as there will be a car event held in Corning the same weekend as our Symposium and hotels will be in demand. Please make your reservations early. We have group blocks reserved at the following hotels provided that you reserve before the cut-off date. Details are also posted on our website here.
Do you love Steuben glass and enjoy sharing your passion with others? If so, please consider volunteering with the CSGA! We are always looking for new ideas, opinions and contributions to the organization, and there are many ways to help. The annual CSGA Business Meeting is held during the Symposium and this is when we elect officers and directors to the Board. These members help to carry out the club mission, and there is at least one position open every year. New board members bring new ideas and energy which are vitally important for our organization. Please consider applying for a position. It’s not a lot of time commitment and is very fun! Or if you would like to contribute but aren’t looking for anything long term we have other opportunities available as well. Feel free to reply to the Gazette, or email me or Cheryl Dartt for more information. (You may also contact us through our website.) We would be happy to talk about your interests, let you know what board positions will be open over the next couple of years, and answer any questions. Thank you in advance for your interest and consideration. I hope to hear from you soon! Karen Beeman – CSGA President.
Mark your calendars! We are having our next member ZOOM Meeting on Sunday, June 25th from 4:00 – 6:00pm EDT. More information on the program will be coming soon. Please plan to join us for a fun discussion of glass and sharing with your fellow CSGA members.
