The VDS vase I would guess is 2103. I have a similar shape in 8″ and it is signed Aurene 2103, but there are other candidates as well such as 1453 and 1627. The shape 6817 is a number that is usually associated with a quilt decoration and applied reeding or threading. I believe that your VDS vase is much earlier than the 6817 design which would have been introduced around 1926.

I don’t think that he amethyst vase is Steuben.
