In the fall of 2019 the Binghamton University Art Museum held an exhibit of Carder glass entitled “Steuben’s Era of Color: The Glass of Frederick Carder.” As part of that exhibition Dr. Amy Robbins gave a lecture entitled “Frederick Carder’s Colorful Experiments in Glass.” Dr. Robbins has recently published an article in the Autumn 2020 issue of the Glass Club Bulletin, the publication of The National American Glass Club (www.glassclub.org), entitled “Expanding Research in Glass from Frederick Carder to the Specialty Glass Residency.” Dr. Robbins, the NAGC, CMoG and Corning, Inc. have granted permission to reproduce Dr. Robbins’ article in the Gazette.
