Florentia
“Florentia is found with a Green or Pink (Cinnamon) flower. A few pieces of Floentia were made with a green flower on a yellow background. Florentia is rare. This center bowl is particularly seductive. The 14″ diameter provides an unusually large, charger like, shallow vessel that spreads open its five-petal delicate flower. When viewed from above, the flower may be seen in its full beauty as if it had opened itself to the sun for the world to enjoy and is now floating in a shimmering pool of water. The entrapped mica flecks sparkle like sunlight on the water.” Objects of Desire, The Art of Frederick Carder by Alan Shovers, p. 108
