We will be mailing out the 20120 renewal envelopes for our members in November. We would love to save a tree and mailing costs to the club by having as many members as possible go to the website and process their renewals electronically. This is easy to do by clicking on the membership link at the end of any Gazette. If you prefer to send a check and save the Club PayPal fees, please feel free to mail your check ($35 for one person, $55 for two person household) to:

Fry Art Glass by Clif Dietz, past President, H.C. Fry Glass Society

Clif Dietz, DDS, talked about the Fry Glass Company, which operated out of Rochester, Pennsylvania from 1901-1933.

Research into Fry’s production is quite challenging; some archival knowledge was acquired by rummaging through the “Fry Dump” where unwanted production was discarded. Dr. Dietz talked mainly about reeded Fry bubble glass, We saw photos of some beautiful pieces including water lamps, candlesticks and bottles, and learned of some differences and similarities between Fry and Steuben.
