A Little Background On The Olsen Collection

It is a pleasure to again see the Carder Steuben pieces from the Olson Collection. I say”again” because it was my pleasure to see the entire collection in Barbara and John Olson’s home on several occasions . It was also my honor to handle the sale of a portion of their collection when I was an active dealer.

If you think their Carder Steuben is nice, you should have seen their Tiffany, Victorian Glass, English Cameo, and last but not least Post-Carder Steuben. They were a lovely couple and outstanding glass collectors who I miss.

SYMPOSIUM HIGHLIGHTS

ID Clinic and Web Site Path

The Club this year will conduct a very popular event , the ID Clinic. If you have a piece of glass that you think might be Steuben but not too sure, or if you just have questions about a piece in your collection, BRING IT!

ΓΏ
We will have long-time collectors and experts attending that will (hopefully) provide answers.

In addition, Scott Hansen, who handles all the Club’s website inquiries, will talk a little about the process he uses when a piece comes in that is unfamiliar to him or about which he is unsure. He will share the path he takes so that others might follow in doing their own research.

The Carder Steuben Symposium program and registration materials are now also on the Club’s website.
