In response to Gwen Stebbins today, we would like to suggest to only person in the country we would consider for a repair. That would be Wayne Montano, of Emmett, ID. He does glass repair and restoration using a proprietary compound that welds the glass yielding a repair that is quite nearly unnoticeable to the eye if the break is clean. It results in a repair that refracts and reflects light as the original glass did and it is not detectable under uv light as glues are. His pricing is extremely reasonable with you paying the shipping both ways. He repaired this Quezal piece that spontaneously fractured in our display case 2 years ago. As you can see, the repair is mostly nondetectable except on the underside where the microscopic pieces blew out during the fracture. We searched the country looking for a person that could repair this and after talking with Wayne, we knew that he was the man for the task.
