Here is how I understand it. The original 1932 catalogue shows it as Jade Green, and Dark Jade Blue as do magazine advertisements. Erickson also used this model. Sometime approximately around Gardner’s book being published popular consensus had reversed the order. I imagine Light Jade Blue or Royal Jade Blue just didn’t ring right as more colors of Jade came to light.
So, officially it is Jade Green and totally acceptable. However due to popular demand the current term used is Green Jade.
