Issue 2799
From Janet Ziffer, the Carder Steuben Club Secretary
We will shortly be mailing out 2018 renewal envelopes for our members. We would love to save a tree and mailing costs to the Club by having as many members as possible go to the website and process their renewals electronically before the envelopes are generated. This is easy to do by clicking on the membership link at the end of every Gazette. If you prefer to send a check and save the Club PayPal fees, please mail your check ($35 for one person, $55 for two person household) to:
Steve Skalsky

Chandler, AZ 85249
Thank you in advance for each household who makes this process easier and faster this year.
Additional Thoughts on Mandarin Yellow
From what I see online and in stores, cracked or broken items are seen as having no value. Could the production numbers have been higher, with people simply having thrown away near all of the yellow jade items when they developed cracks? Jan Baer
The Florida Hurricane Report
Alan: I see all these great pictures of shelves of beautiful Steuben on display. I thought I should add a picture of how my “safe” shelves look in Florida this time of the year. Not near as much fun……

Hello fellow Carder Steuben Club members
.
I’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and thanks to those of you who either consigned or donated items into the Club’s annual symposium Auction. This year, as in previous years, the auction was a success. The auction, as you all know, helps to maintain the club’s viability. Again, my sincerest thanks to all of you who helped with making this year’s auction happen.
