The Gazette has been seeking out pictures and any other historic information on the Reifschlager Gallery at the Rockwell Museum. This marvel and permanent exhibit of Carder’s best work was closed in 2000 and the Carder Glass collection, which included the Rotary Gallery, was transferred on long term loan to CMoG, which now displays much of the collection at Building B at CMoG. The presentation was moving and when soliciting pictures from 17+ years ago, thus far we only have four. (Thank you Fran Gabel) We’re soliciting more information because this was a major presentation of Carder’s fabulous works. Hopefully, based on outstanding requests and perhaps a push from this e-mail, more will surface to preserve the history.
