Reintroduction of Modern Steuben

Harry Allen was a presenter at the Symposium He is introducing a giant version of a Steuben Piggy Bank.

Delay

Those expecting auction donor letters or reimbursement there is a slight delay sending checks out as we transition both treasury responsibilities and to a national bank. I’m waiting for authorization that I can sign the checks. Also they will be mailed from AZ. Thank you to all those who donated and or attended the symposium or auction.

What Is It?

At the Symposium presentation of “Some of Our Favorite Things” there was a display of a collection of black and ivory.

Discussion focused on a small cup like item in the grouping. Debby Schultz answers the conundrum.

VOILA! Here is a picture of the six ivory and black “egg cups” that we own. We bought them as such and I believe who ever originally owned them, used them for this purpose. I did look up the design in Gardner’s book and to my surprise the item was listed under cigarette holders # 2006. Go figure!. I still think of them as egg holders. What else can you use them for in today’s no smoking environment?
