“SOME OF OUR FAVORITE THINGS”
This is just one of the many beautiful pieces that you might see from our member collectors who will be participating in the Some of Our Favorite Things program.
It is a cologne, shape 6604 in amethyst and engraved in the Malaya pattern.
Treasures like this are not to be missed at the Carder Steuben Symposium.
Speaker Request
We have received a request from an adult education course in Torrance, California (LA area) for someone to speak at one of their classes. The class covers general antiques and they are looking for someone to talk about glass (presumably Carder Steuben alone is acceptable but it could be broader). The class meets Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 12:00. Instructors typically bring examples to show in their presentation. The class has been held for more than 40 years. If your love of glass isn’t sufficient motivation to do this, there is an honorarium involved. If you are interested, please let me know (hngseh@aol.com) and I will put you in touch with the class administrator.

SUMMER RALLY
We’ve experienced a nice rally this summer, adding about 5% to our membership numbers. Now is a great time to join the Club and help keep the rally going. Your membership will be good for the rest of 2016 and all of 2017. Plus, you will be eligible for the member rate for the Symposium next month. If you are already a member, consider giving a gift of a membership to someone who is not currently a member. Either way, the rally will continue.
