It’s Not Too Soon To Start Thinking About the Symposium Auction

Hello fellow Carder Steuben Club members. I hope that you are all doing well and are looking forward to the start of the Summer season this week.

With that being said, the last week of the Summer season will be when many of us (I hope) will be in the midst of our annual pilgrimage to Corning for our annual Symposium. The program for the Symposium should be available shortly, and I’m sure it will include many interesting, fun, and worthwhile programs and activities.

I’m asking that all who may be so inclined, think of something in their collection, or perhaps something tucked away that you don’t display, possibly a double piece or a piece that you’re not as crazy about that you once were, to please consider placing it in the Carder Symposiums final evening’s dinner auction.

This year will be my final year as chairman of the auction, and I would love to go out with a final successful auction under my belt. These dinner auctions are an opportunity for folks to clear out some items, and either make some money or donate the proceeds to the Club. It’s always a fun final evening.

I will have future reminders and information regarding the dinner auction in the weeks to come, so as we are less than three months from the 2016 Symposium now, I was hoping that you all would consider possibly placing something into the auction!
