Jefferson Award

Carder Steuben Club Honorary Member Tom Dimitroff was recently the recipient of a 2016 Jefferson Award. He was one of four residents in the Twin Tiers recognized for their commitment to the area and their vision for a better tomorrow.

Retired educator, author and lecturer, (and glass expert extraordinaire) Tom was recognized for his commitment to preserving the area’s history. He has served the community through leadership and advisory roles with the Market Street Restoration Agency, the Corning Museum of Glass, the Rockwell Museum and the Gaffer District. He was instrumental in creating the Southside Neighborhood Association and has been an active member of the City of Corning’s public art committee and historic preservation commission.
