A Thank You and Year’s Report from Steuben
Thank You from Steuben
A Year to Celebrate
With the coming new year just around the corner, Steuben and The Corning Museum of Glass would like to take a moment to thank you for your patronage in 2015. As we continue the revitalization of the Steuben brand and product line, our efforts prove fruitful only when we see the enthusiastic support from you, our loyal customers. Based on our 2015 results, we are pleased with the continued success not only for Steuben, but also for how this success translates to support for the museum. Each Steuben purchase directly benefits the educational mission of the Museum to tell the world the story of glass.
2015 saw the release of a number of new designs as well as the reintroduction of several iconic Steuben pieces. Each of these releases spoke to Steuben’s long-standing tradition of excellence in design, material, and craftsmanship.
Last year we were also honored to recreate a one-of-a-kind commission to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The magnificent sculpture is once again on permanent display at the State Capital in Albany, NY, and demonstrates Steuben’s ability to create objects that are true masterworks in glass.
2016 promises to bring equally exciting milestones for Steuben. In late 2015, we renewed our partnership with long-time Steuben designer, Eric Hilton, to begin work on a new sculptural design that will reinforce Steuben’s legacy and place in the world of glass design and craftsmanship. The result, Ocean’s Pulse (as seen above) will be available, as a limited edition of 5, for purchase in early 2016. Other additions to the product line, both new designs and reintroductions, are in the works as well.
With great appreciation and many thanks for your support, we wish you and yours a happy and joyous New Year.
