THE HISTORY OF STEUBEN
Steuben and CMoG have compiled a time line for the entire history of Steuben. It begins, of course in 1903.
“1903
Articles of incorporation filed for a new glass firm called Steuben Glass Works by Thomas G. Hawkes, president of T.G. Hawkes and Company, a glass- engraving firm, and by Frederick Carder, an English glassmaker specializing in colorful, art nouveau art glass typical of the period.”
