Haviland

In the past several weeks we’ve learned in the 1916-1919 period that Marshall Fields & Co. sold Steuben art glass under the name “Kenilworth”. No one has responded with additional information, other than sales materials found at the Rakow Library, such as this.

What can be found in the literature of similarity is the sale from 1910-1915 of Steuben under the title of Haviland & Co. In Thomas P. Dimitroff’s text, Frederick Carder and Steuben Glass at p. 230, the author notes, “Between 1910 and 1915, Aurene pieces were commonly marked ‘Aurene’ and ‘Haviland & Co.’stamped with either matte acid or paint.” A picture of the Haviland mark appears at Fig. 10.65 as well as in the Gardner text. Perhaps readers may have some additional information to supply.

Request for Help with Mysterious Piece of Glass

This is thought to be Tiffany. I have no idea. Does anyone know what this is. Am sending a picture of the bottom with no marking. This piece was brought to the Morris Museum glass exhibit for identification. I have no idea who it is made by. It was a wedding gift in 1922 .
