Glass Artist Extraordinaire
Debbie Tarsitano, glass artist extraordinaire, and Max Erlacher, Supreme Master Glass Engraver, have collaborated on many pieces of work over the years. “The Outstretched Hand of Liberty” sculpture tells a universal and timeless story that many American families can identify with – the idea of coming to America. This work is based on Debbie’s grandmother’s trip to America from Italy. Debbie, her father Delmo, glass cutter Edward Poore, engraver Max Erlacher and the Vermont Marble Company were all involved in helping Debbie realize her artistic vision. Come to the Symposium’s Welcome Social and Glass Show, see this sculpture in person, and hear Debbie and Max talk about this magnificent piece of work. It will give you goose bumps!
