I think that the plate number is just mislabel in Tom’s book as we have the Green to White Cluthra plate that is hexed in 8 1/2″ size which would be a luncheon or entrée plate. Sometimes when a set was ordered as a Luncheon set, it consisted of a plate, drinking vessel, dessert/fingerbowl, Some Luncheon sets were made up of 3 or 4 piece place settings depending on the hostess desire. We have had both size sets here at the shop in other glass not the Cluthra. Pieces had multiply used for your luncheon. your finger bowl/desserts were used for consume or fruit bowls whatever your meal need.
