The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines

Definition of FAIR MARKET VALUE. : a price at which buyers and sellers with a reasonable knowledge of pertinent facts and not acting under any compulsion are willing to do business.

So, in defining Fair Market Value for a piece of Carder Steuben glass or any other art glass, do we look for this standard on 1) e-Bay,(2) a public, well publicized, auction or 3) look to dealer pricing ? For the same piece of glass these three sources may yield different results.
