It has come to my attention there is a sock darner on e-bay which the lister has suggested is Rouge Flambe.

The person listing the darner is using my name as having authenticated the darner. In no manner what so ever did I verify the darner as being Rouge Flambe or even Steuben! I have never seen the darner other than a photo that was sent to me via a text from a different person. I informed the person sending the photo I doubted the piece was Rouge but may be a different Steuben red or may even be new.

In making some phone calls I have found out the owner of the darner’s name and this person has been contacted and told to remove my name from his listing.

The question was asked:

Yesterday the quote from the Grovers state;

“Ivrene, a transparent, white opaque glass,”

Question;

Are not opaque and transparent optical qualities that if you have one you cannot posses the other?

It would seem to me that the correct term should be translucent…..where light may pass through but you cannot see through the glass surface. Ivrene demonstrates this property and neither of the afore mentioned.
