With the proliferation of spam, individuals are stepping up the settings on their spam catchers, as well as the likes of g-mail, aol, msn, yahoo, etc. are all doing the same. As a result, from time to time the Gazette gets rejected by a spam catcher. Once that occurs our hosting service, Constant Contact, treats this as a request to unsubscribe and deletes the e-mail address affected. So, I suggest two things. First, put the e-mail address ashovers@kddk.com in your address book. Second, if you notice that for several days you don’t get your copy of the Gazette delivered to you, write to this e-mail address to ask if there is a problem and we’ll try and get it fixed. If you can’t remember the e-mail address, go to the Club’s website (cardersteubenclub.org) and write to the webmaster.

This is a 5009 vase in Yellow Jade with ring handles. Interestingly this piece has a paper label on the bottom that identifies the color as Chinese Yellow.

2013 Carder Steuben Club annual Symposium will be held at The Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY from September 19-21, 2013. The festivities will begin with Frederick Carder’s 150th birthday celebration on the evening of September 18, 2013.
