CARDER WINDOW PROJECT UPDATE

When the Board originally approved a $2,000 matching contribution for the Carder Window Project we thought that we would be matching contributions from various Corning civic organizations. It never dawned on me that our own members would donate almost $2,000 to the project. I am pleased to report that we’ve already received 13 donations for a total of $1,950.

Who is going to give the last $50 for us to match?

I spoke with Tom Dimitroff earlier this week and his Corning fundraising is also picking up steam. It looks as though we are on track for the Window to be unveiled in Corning City Hall on September 18, 2013, Frederick Carder’s birthday.
