A MODERN STEUBEN STATUS REPORT FROM CARDER STEUBEN CLUB PRESIDENT, DAVID GOLDSTEIN
Last year we had some hot and heavy dialog in the Gazette about whether or not to add Modern Steuben to our mission.
At our Annual Meeting at the 2012 Symposium we took a straw poll on this issue and a substantial majority was in favor of making the addition.
The Board has been working on how to proceed, and I want to bring you, our members and friends, up to date on where we stand.
A revised Mission Statement for the Carder Steuben Club is being drafted and, after approval by the Board, will be submitted to a binding, formal vote at our next Annual Meeting. This will take place during the Symposium, which will be held in Corning beginning Thursday, September 19, 2013.
We are laying the foundation for expanding our mission but have not yet taken any action that involves any significant expenditure. Ed. more steps will be reported on in the next Gazette
MODERN STEUBEN INQUIRY
I just purchased four of the Steuben Audubon Plates on eBay. I was trying to find out what the price was when Steuben originally sold them and couldn’t find the information. Can you help? Many thanks, Kathy Hopkins, Red Bank, NJ
