DURAND?

Dear All,

Your white Cluthra vase (with small bubbles) reminds me of Kimball Cluthra c.1931-32. However, most of this glass was signed.

U.S. GLASS

Alan,

What an interesting article on the possibilities of Fenton’s assets being used to produce glass again. Thank you!

I was trying to find out more about this US Glass Inc. that is leading the charge with this. (Any connection with the U. S. Glass Co. of old? Appears not.)

The name of the president Gene Bem matches up with someone who has a management consulting company based in New York. I’m not on Linkedin so I can’t see the whole profile. According to this he did get some education at West Virginia University so it could be the right fellow.

Sure wish him all the luck putting that factory back on line with innovative lines that will be marketable. Other articles on this subject that I’ve googled indicate there was also the issue of back taxes in the 6 figures that have to be resolved. Perhaps that has already happened.

I wonder if anyone else knows anything about Gene Bem?
