Joann Tortarolo of Highland, California sent us a picture of the Steuben case at the Historical Glass Museum in Redlands, California. Several pieces were questioned.

Alan–The Historical Glass Museum in Redlands would welcome any Steuben collectors to help us correctly identify each piece so we could send a list to your database. Thanks to Marshall who is always ready to answer any question I have from a photograph that I send him. However, I know that we do have glass other than Steuben in the case and in the room where the Steuben is displayed. We would welcome any help in identifying ALL of it! That is why I joined the Carder Steuben Club.

As for the earthquake challenge, that is something we have to deal with no question. All of the Steuben glass is firmly fastened down with an earthquake adhesive but the shelves are not. Again, that is on our list to rectify.

The current Board (consisting of glass collectors) has taken over the management of the museum from someone who maintained the museum but was not a glass collector. We are working through our challenges step by step.
