In the past few years we’ve seen a decline in the number of dealers specializing in art glass. Collector shows have likewise declined. So, it’s exciting when we receive an announcement from Gwen Stebbins of Davison, Michigan that she’s about to hit the circuit of shows and asking for advice.
Here is another unrelated question to the members……….I am considering doing a show circuit that I would do year round. I know the big shows, Miami, Baltimore etc., that I attend but what about good smaller shows? I won’t be starting until next summer but I am looking to do quality shows and while I would like to stay in the Midwest, I have no fear of traveling to distance places, meeting new people and trying shows I have never heard of as long as they come recommended by knowledgeable collectors or dealers. My strong suit is glass, lamps, Tiffany Metalware, Icart etchings and other high quality items from the art nouveau era.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. And yes I know, the shows are very tough now but I am ready to try it and see what happens…………nothing ventured, nothing gained right? LOL
