This year’s Symposium will feature not only a dealers’ show, but an auction as well.
Symposium Auction
On Saturday evening at the Symposium, following the closing banquet, the Club conducts a glass auction as a fund raiser for the Club. Members and friends of the Club contribute Carder Steuben glass and related material like books and other ephemera and even some glass of other manufacturers to the auction which is then auctioned to those attending the Symposium. A professional auctioneer conducts the auction.
On the home page of the Club web site (www.cardersteubenclub.org) at the left hand side under Symposium is a link titled “Auction.” This section describes the auction in detail and how to contribute glass to the auction. The auction is a great way to add some glass to your collection as well as dispose of pieces that no longer fit in your collection. In the top right hand portion of the Auction page is a “Print This Page” button which will allow you to print the page for contributions to the auction.
If you have any questions about contributing glass to the auction or how it works, you may contact Marshall Ketchum at mdketchum@yahoo.com. Please note that for those of you attending the Symposium and participating in the auction, we do not accept credit cards as payment for auction purchases. Only cash or checks may be used to pay for auction purchases.
PS As a quick update, we have 6 registrations through the on-line registration system for the Symposium thus far.
