It’s that time of the summer again. Time to begin making your plans to attend the 12th Annual Carder Steuben Club Symposium on the Glass of Frederick Carder. Here are some key dates and times:

Thursday, September 20, 2012 – 8:00 p.m. – The first official event of the Symposium – Glass Gazing at the corner of Walnut and Market Streets, Corning, New York, in front of the Carder windows.

Friday, September 21, 2012 – 8:30 a.m. – Registration, breakfast and the start of programming. Our third annual Glass Show will be held Friday afternoon. More details about the Glass Show and Friday night activities will be forthcoming.

Saturday, September 22, 2012 – 9:00 a.m. – Breakfast and programming continues.

Saturday, September 22, 2012 – 6:00 p.m. – Closing Banquet and Carder Steuben Glass Auction.

Hotel Arrangements – As we have done in the past, we have reserved a block of rooms at discounted rates at the Radisson Hotel Corning (607) 962-5000 (through August 29) and the Comfort Inn Corning (607) 962-1515 (through September 7). Just indicate you are attending the Carder Steuben Club Symposium when you register to receive the discounted rate. Rooms and the discounted rates will not be available after the dates indicated so please make your reservations early to insure a room at the Symposium rate.

Airports – In addition to the airport at Elmira/Corning, you may also consider flying into Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse or Binghamton.
